Our star soccer player

So we've discovered the cutest thing in the universe: three-year-olds playing soccer. Seriously adorable. Brady has had a big month; he started preschool and soccer in the same week! Not to brag too much, but we're pretty sure that we have a little soccer star on our hands. He is listening so well to his coach and is really good at kicking and controlling the ball. Maybe the next David Beckham... :). Lauren is not happy that she can't go on the field with her big brother, but they do have some free time right before their practice where she can at least get out there with the big kids, which is where she always wants to be!

Nana's visit

Nana came to visit and we did lots of fun stuff. We were outside as much as possible enjoying this amazing weather! Here are some park pictures. Brady and Lauren sure love their Nana and have already figured out how to get whatever they want :). It's really hard to get a picture of the kids together, which is why you'll see random ones like this now and then.

Brady's first day of preschool

His first day was actually last Monday, but it's been a crazy week! We love his school and he is having such a great time and is learning so much already. They get to decorate their own school bag, and as you can see from the pictures, Brady had yellow & red paint so he called it his "ketchup and mustard" bag. It's only preschool, but before long, we'll be sending him to REAL school!!

Ready for Jayhawk Football season!

Our Jayhawks finally have a good football team! We kicked off the season by attempting to find a place to watch the KU game at a kid-friendly place in the middle of MU Tiger country. Um, it didn't happen. So we ate dinner in our KU attire while getting game updates from Michael's Blackberry. Oh, well, we showed our spirit anyway!

Take me out to the ball game...

Brady got to go to his first major league baseball game with Dad and Grandpa! Apparently, he lasted three innings before boredom set in and they had to explore the stadium. But he got a little wooden bat as a souvenir, and we have some great pictures as memories. We have apparently turned into St. Louis Cardinals fans...it's hard not to be in this town.

Grandpa and Me-Maw's visit (part one)

Grandpa and Me-Maw Carmichael came to visit and we had such a great weekend. We took them to our favorite place in the city, the Missouri Botanical Gardens. We fed the ducks and huge Japanese Koi goldfish, and Daddy and Grandpa taught Brady how to climb the wooden log fort, which of course Lauren had to try out too. We're still not sure if Grandpa or Brady had more fun. Notice there is a picture of GRANDPA walking on the rope ladder in the children's garden :).
