Gum-Gum and Grampa's visit

Gum-Gum and Grampa came to visit us this weekend. We got to eat a fun dinner (where Brady learned to use kid chopsticks, which apparently Gum-Gum used to pick Brady's nose), and we spent a morning at a "home improvement day" at the center where Brady takes his preschool classes. Grampa and Brady had fun hammering "nails" (golf tees into foam) and stacking blocks (and knocking them down)!

By the way, these are my (Heather's) grandparents, which makes them Brady & Lauren's great-grandparents. They have lots of grandparents, so we tried to name them "Gram-Gram" (which Brady turned into "Gum-Gum") and Grampa to help tell them all apart!

Soooooo big!

Our baby girl is getting so big! She started with the "wounded soldier" crawl, then the real kind of crawling, and suddenly is standing up and wanting to take some steps. It happens so fast.

p.s. You may think there are starting to be more pictures of Lauren than Brady on our blog. Anyone who has ever met my son or knows a 2 or 3-yr-old boy can tell you how freaking difficult it is to get them to sit/stand still long enough to get a non-blurry picture!

Birthday party fun!

Look at my kids' profiles. They really do look alike!

We went to Brady's friend Kate's 3rd birthday party, and the kids had a blast! Brady got to bounce all over the place, and Lauren got to try her first cupcake. She wasn't a huge fan and actually spit it out, and her brother refused to touch his. I've created a "I don't like to get my hands dirty" monster. Brady and Kate are sort of boyfriend/girlfriend...they're not committing right now, but they're not really seeing other people :). They had fun bouncing on the trampoline and playing house. Apparently, Kate makes a mean pizza and hot chocolate. Love, love, love the preschool age--always exploring and discovering new things. My kids are growing up waaaaaaay too fast.

Now I know mine ABC's!

Bathtime fun

Brother and sister are sharing bathtime now, which is an interesting experience. Apparently, 2-1/2-year-olds don't like to share toys in OR out of the bathtub. They are cute, though! And here is a picture of Brady's first "shiner." He hit the kitchen floor face-first, no hands to catch him (since he had crawled in the back basket of the new stroller and tipped forward). Ouch. This picture doesn't do it justice, because it was a ginormous bruise.

Spring-like weather!

We know Mother Nature is just teasing us, but it's still fun! Lauren looooooooves the swing, and Brady just plain loves being outside. It has been so windy (as you can tell from Lauren's expressions), but we don't care!
